Valedictorian?

Do senior year grades count? It can't be full year, because it would have to be chosen before the end of the year.

Well our school chooses our valedictorian at the Awards ceremony at the end of the year. Maybe it's different in your school, but senior grades do count and are taken into consideration when deciding.

Our school counts seven semesters only, and not the last semester. Thank God or they would have counted my Calculus grades lol....

Our last semester counts. There's a short gap between the end of school and graduation, so they can determine who had the best eighth-semester grades. It doesn't count for anything besides that, though, because scholarships and everything are already determined.

We don't have valedictorian anymore, but when we did, every grade from every semester counted.

my school only counts 7 semesters when determining rank.

it wouldn't have made a difference if they used the 8th semester at my school, everyone slacked off equally.

At my school, I think they use 3/4 of your senior year grades... because most seniors have finished up their classes somewhere in the 4th quarter. (IE: Seniors taking AP exams... which is most- they don't do anything after the AP exam)

So using the 4th q doesn't really make a difference anyways.
