I'm an INFP.
I don't remember the exact percentages, but I'm most strongly I and least strongly F and P. I definitely have a more objective, less compassionate side that surfaces sometimes.
It's pretty hectic in my family because my dad is an ENTJ, my mom is an ISTJ, and my brother is probably an ESTP. We don't have much in common.

>It only sounds accurate because the self-labeling of personality traits is so straight-forward. If, as a multiple-choice answer, you had to pick between, "I would rather read a book" or "I would rather go to a party," the designation of "introvert" or "extrovert" would be obvious...
That is how a lot of them sound. Even the ones that don't are designed to be alternately biased towards all of the different letters in order to reach a minimal net bias.

Somehow, ISFJ. It actually describes me pretty well, once I stop and think about it, especially the bit about remembering and noting facts.
Which is funny because most people would label me an extrovert, even if they didn't know me. I'm loud, obnoxious and in-your-face-going-at-the-speed-of-light all the time.
But in reality, I tend to internalize and curl up in a corner by myself and read books a lot.
Interestingly enough, i'm only one of 2 ISFJ's on this thread.

It's interesting how many NTs, particularly INTJs, there are on this thread. In the general population, SJs are by far the most common and are generally followed by ESFPs, ISFPs, ISTPs, and ENFPs.

I feel like people are trying really hard to classify themselves as INTJs to be special.

ENFP. I've taken this test lots of times, and I'd say this is my most consistent result. I think it fits me well.
Extraversion: 64%
Intuition: 12%
Feeling: 47%
Perceiving: 22%

Aomme, I think it's less because people are "trying to be special" and more that CC attracts a disproportionate amount of INTJ or similar type people. We all like to feel special but I doubt anyone on CC will go to the length of falsifying their Myer-Briggs type just to feel cool, lol.

I don't think it has to be one or the other. I doubt that an ESFP would identify as an INTJ to feel cool, but for, say, an ENTJ with a soft spot for introspection or an INFJ with a logical side, it wouldn't be out of the question.
At any rate, I think the parents' forums are noticeably less INTJ-heavy than the students' ones. There seems to be a much more communal and sympathetic vibe over there.

Good point.
Regarding your second point, could it just be that people are nicer/more helping when they're older and less focused? Just playing Devil's Advocate. Your theory makes sense though-INTJs tend to be fairly independent and frankly, most questions asked on this site have been answered before and a person could easily run some searches to get answers without participating in the community.

Sorry to join the party late, but ENFP's FTW! In Spanish class we had to take the test and I was the only ENFP. There were a ton of ESTJ's, surprisingly.
