There is a disproportionate amount of left handed American presidents though..
So we make better presidents? |

A lot of Europeans are lefties, especially in Scandinavia. I guess the most famous American lefty I can think of is Eugene Debs. He's not that famous though.

^, ^^lefty and leftist. A logical combination. I guess my right-handedness is out of place.

Ahem...if you're having problems writing left-handed (e.g. smudging, etc.), then you're writing wrong!!!
This is the right way! Handedness Research Institute | Teaching Left-Handers to Write
In my opinion, society should do something to make ambidextrous children! Everybody could benefit from writing with their left and right hands.
Now, the scissors/mitts/etc. thing would be solved if companies would just shell out both left- and right-handed products, provided there's some government-or-whatever initiative to advocate ambidexterity! Then, there'd only be preferences!

| Wow this is really flawed.
First, you can't force somebody to be ambidextrous. That doesn't make any sense. They actually used to force some lefties to write righty. The results are awful. These people had the worst hand writing ever.
Secondly, it isn't just scissors. Everything everywhere usually favors one hand or the other. Machines, computers, COD controls, etc. It simply is not possible to equalize everything.

| You misunderstood my argument. I meant an initiative to advocate ambidexterity...nowhere did I mention it had to be forced (Okay, "the society 'should'", I meant something else...but). And yes, I realize it's not just scissors! That's why I put "scissors/mitts/etc."!...
I agree with you on the lefty being forced to be a righty however.
