good books to read?

so school has started.. which sucks.. but for my english class we are required to read several books on the side for a grade...but they get to be any books of our choice... they go by a certain scale level, so the book cant be easy... they usually tend to be atleast 350+ page books.. any suggestions that i might enjoy?

I haven't finished this book yet (actually, barely 1/4 through it ) but so far "Burridge Unbound" by Alan Cumyn is pretty good.
