So I have an 86% chance of getting into Pace (early action), my SAT scores are in that middle range, and my unweighted GPA is their average GPA. (weighted is much higher than their avg, my transcript will say I have 1200 community service hours, and I'm president of a club I've been in for the past 4 years) I'm still paranoid that I won't get in. I only just mailed in all of my supporting documents.
It's been 2 weeks since I applied to CUNY, and I literally check my email every hour or so. I keep thinking that since it's rolling admissions, I applied several months early, and there's no essay that I'll hear back soon. People keep telling me that others in my situation have heard back within 2-4 weeks. It's weird, CUNYs aren't my first choice schools, but the wait is starting to get to me.
Anyways, that's why I'm glad the only RD school without rolling admissions is Brown. Waiting 3 months to know (even though I'm not really counting on an acceptance), is going to be way too long, lol.

1 down 10 to go at this point, and only because it was the only one that didn't require an essay. Ughhhhh tomorrow I will finally write my common app essay. That will be such a huge weight off of my shoulders.

I kind of have my common app essay done. I'm switching from the common app though. I learned that I prefer each individual school's application over the common app. So I've been using those, and have been editing my essay a little for each school.

don't worry Rachel, I'm paranoid I won't get accepted anywhere either.
its sort of scary to think how so many things will change in just a few months when we start college. or that there's even less time until we know where we're going. it still feels sort of far away

Miami is...interesting.
I think I just saw a guy that looks like he snorts Epsom salts. Told him I'm slenderman and that I don't have a face.

@Stressed: I know what you mean. It feels like a year is so far away, but I know it'll go fast. I'm excited, but I'm way too paranoid I won't get in anywhere. That's why I have 1 safety, 5 matches and 1 reach. I feel like I should have more safeties, but with that many matches, the logical side of me thinks I'm bound to get in somewhere. By as late as January I'll be notified by every place expect Brown, and then I'll be able to not be so stressed. That's why I applied so early, so I can get a few acceptances soon and not have to worry about it.

@Niquii: That face-eating man from Miami was high on bath salts. I wouldn't feel safe in Miami. I'd say stick with UF. (Gainesville is pretty nice, and northern Florida is better than SFL.)

They're both better than southern FL.

Something bad happened on our way to UM and to be honest I'm not really digging the people in the area. They were really rude and 911 couldn't care less about anything.
The camps is great and beautiful. They have great opportunities but I can't stay just on campus for my four years.
Can't wait to see what UF brings me.

I live in South Florida (Palm Beach County) and you're absolutely right, North Florida is a million times nicer and really a completely different world in terms of culture and environment. SFL is basically a cultural outpost of New York and New Jersey, whereas NFL has a very small-town Southern feel, like Georgia or Alabama.
