When I was little, we had a major snowstorm that knocked out the power for 2-3 weeks for some people. That's the worst storm my area's faced in quite a while.

funny my area last winter was hit by the third strongest blizzard. But there was no power failure just some road blockages. What's scary it's that experts warn of "superstorms" era. And the northeast being the target of hurricane in the year to come. They also expect snowstorm like the one we had last winter. Had any one seen category 6: day of destruction?

My EA school hasn't downloaded my application yet. The suspense is nerve-wracking.

Awesome! Congrats!!! I got a call from them too on the date stated on the acceptance letter. I tried to call back but they didn't answer and never called back. Did you apply for the honors program?

I forgot to answer your earlier question. For PACT, you get a mentor from the time you get accepted and commit. They help you put together resumes and are basically like advisors.

No its one application and you're automatically considered. The lady said I will get 4000 a year

It's cool you can pick honors classes or reg classes, honors or regular courses and you get a free laptop

I meant honors or regular housing *

I'm pretty excited about it now. With financial aid plus the 4 a year it's looking like 16k a year

That's about what I'll get. I got a $3,000 scholarship. I applied for like $27,000 of other scholarships too (just general ones). I'm looking for more though. (Pace is pretty expensive.)

Weird that we could end up at the same place. (Since we have so many schools in common and we both got accepted to one.) Are you going to the accepted students event thing? I can't since it's on a Tuesday and so far away. If it were like a Friday, I could've made it a long weekend and go.

I haven't received the letter, I just spoke to my admissions rep. Have you gotten those scholarships? Could you tell me what you use

Nope, I've just applied. Z!nch (with an i .com), and scholarship (.com and .org) list a TON of scholarships.

Rachel, If you don't mind me asking, what were your grades? I just wonder what the difference was

Sophomore year probably messed me up. I had medical issues so I ended up with 3 Cs 1st semester and 2 2nd semester. Freshman and junior year were great though.

I wonder if I was close to getting into the honors program (since I only got $1,000 less than you scholarship wise).
