According to JHU med school admissions webpage:

"Organic Chemistry with Lab, one year (8 semester hours) A semester of biochemistry with lab may be substituted for the second semester of organic chemistry."

Does anyone recommend taking a semester of BioChem rather than 2nd semester of Organic? What are the advantages/disadvantages?

um the obviously disadvantage is that you'll only be qualified to apply for JHU. What about the 130 other US med schools?

Don't forget Harvard, haha.

So most other medical schools won't accept the above program?

Most require TWO semesters of Organic.
