| Application Essay
I was completely homeschooled for elementary school. In middle school, I attended an alternative school part time and in high school I started going full time. This means that there is no indication on my transcript that I was ever homeschooled. However, I am wondering if my being homeschooled would be a useful thing to mention in either the application essay or the additional information section. I don't think it should be the main focus of my essay, since it was all before high school, but it would be pretty easy to work it in. The fact that I was homeschooled could show that I have intiative and can get work done without having to be told to a lot and could potentially help my application. On the other hand, some people are prejudiced against homeschoolers and think that someone who was homeschooled will be antisocial and unable to handle the rigors of college. Any thoughts on whether mentioning my homeschooling would help or hurt my application?
