I am currently attending an online home school, I have been since my freshman year.
It is an accredited, college preparatory school called Laurel Springs.
I make good grades, all As, taking SAT prep (looking to get 2000), and one AP class.
My question is: how hard is it for a home schooled student to get into a school like UT or A&M?

I know that the question is kind of vague but I've searched the internet and I can't find anything such as statistics on acceptance rates.

Also, what would you recommended me to do to increase my chances of acceptance?

As long as you provide the requested information, it should be no different for you coming from a homeschool than it would be for any other student. You have a unique background. Use that to your advantage. Don't be afraid to contact an admissions counselor and ask what you can do to make yourself stand out. Will they accept more information, i.e., if they don't require course descriptions, it is worthwhile for you to provide that anyway?

Hopefully someone here will have more specific info; you also might ask on the Texas A&M and UT boards.

My daughter was accepted to Texas A&M a few years ago when she applied with no problems. Just be sure that you meet all of the requirements listed on their websites and do as well as you can on the SAT or ACT. Try to meet or exceed the average incoming scores: ACT/SAT Test Scores Be sure to do a good job on the essays as well. Good luck!

I can't speak for UT but A&M is one of the most homeschooler friendly colleges in the country !!!

I'm a homeschooled senior and I applied at the start of the season last month, and within a month I received my acceptance from them! They have this thing called 'auto admits' which means once you meet specific criteria you're admitted, no questions asked.

For homeschoolers, this means breaking 1300/1600 on the SAT (600 on CR and M required) or 30 on the ACT (27 on Reading and Math minimum). So just study up for the SAT !!!!
