O and to everyone who hasn't visited Howard yet! You should go visit during homecoming week! My friends just got into Howard and thats what i'm doing because I hear Howard homecoming is a wild night.
I'm debating about Howard University. I know very little about it, but I do know that it gives great scholarships lol. As of right now, I am good for the Legacy Scholarship, which is free tution and fees. Anybody else ranked in any of these? Grants, Scholarships & Fellowships - Howard University
I went to Howard again yesterday to personally give them all of my forms and just to inquire about a few more things. I also saw Drew Hall in its entirety and the rooms are normal sized. The closets are about the size of a normal house refrigerator, but its split in half. They recently installed these 3D looking rectangular things in the wall which was supposed to be for an AC, but the guy said that they never got to it lol, so now its just a random external arch that takes up space lol. They have two more bins where you can store your cleaning tools (for lack of a better word) and they also have two bookcases in the wall...and I forgot to visit the showers...AGAIN lmao
As far as the scholarships, there's a couple of people on this site alone that I've seen with the Legacy Scholarship...Malikwal and I have gotten it lol...And one more thing with that particular scholarship (and probably all of them), all of the fees aren't paid for by the school. I think there's still a $100 globalization fee, a medical fee, a lab fee, and one more that I can't recall.
I qualify for Capstone, but I really want Founders. If anyone's knew to Howard I suggest you get familiar with YouTube's HU Reaction. They're a couple years old now, but extremely informative. They film and comment on The Yard, the College of Business, the College of Arts and Science, the Quad, the Annex, the Library, etc. Plus they have homecoming and step shows filmed.

Yea, I qualify for the Capstone Scholarship too, and I hear their pretty much guaranteed if you are eligible. I guess I need to start raising money from outside scholarships to cover board and books.
Howard is my number 1 and idk if I will get in but I have a 2.7 gpa and my sat is really low but im taking it again in nov. I have a lot of extra curricular's and I plan on writing a good essay. What are my chances?
I'm only applying to Howard and Spelman, maybe Georgia Tech. I want to take the pre-med track and major in biology. I want to become either an anesthesiologist or an oncologist. Cross my fingers lol. Haven't sent all my materials in yet. Still seems like forever until senior year ends though!
I'm applying via Early Action. Will applying Early Action give me priority housing possibly?
I also would like to know my chances of getting in.
I have a 3.3 unweighted GPA, been taking all AP and honors classes since the 9th grade.
Below are my credentials. I also obtained a 1720 on my SAT. I would just like to know my possible chances of getting a scholarship. My CR + Math score is 1130. I would like to know if my GPA would compensate for that and in that case if I would get the Capstone scholarship.
