If I do go to Pre-Orientation, I'm going to the one in June. The May one is right after my GRADUATION (May 20), and it'll be too much going on in that time frame.

i'm doing pre-orientation in June because i still have school. May 26th = last day and May 30th = graduation. I am going to the April 14th Open House..
Weird, i got the pre-o packet a while ago.. i am not sure why you didn't MrSoc.
Financial Aid packet ha, thats funny... like i am going to get that anytime soon... (actually i got a letter saying they needed some additional forms.)
Kyra, i applied and was accepted to Hampton plus my cousin went there, its beautiful, i just don't like rural areas.

Hampton, I've visited twice. Loved it, but Hampton City is just not for me. So you're going to Open House DefiantRose, let's make sure we see one another. :-)
About the financial aid letter, I got it too, like a week after I had already called and sent everything in.
What's everyone doing this summer? I don't think I want to be in this stupid town anymore, so I'm trying to find a way to GET AWAY but also find a job.

This summer I plan to do... nothing. I know it's a shame, but I feel that after 12 years of schooling, summer courses, camps, and conventions, I owe it to myself to have a summer where I can just sit back and RELAX.

Sure Mr_socrates06 lol.
I am working this summer trying to save up some money so that i wont spend my parents money, trying that independant thing.
Hampton is not for me either, i am a city girl lost in the county so the whole County thing in VA wasn't the thing foor me.
I feel you TigerPride, i wish i could get paid for doing nothing this summer lol but i am going to take like a week off to just relax, my last day of work is August 1st so i can relax then.

I'm from like this small rural county and feel like a city kid at heart. I absolutely hate it here. Let's not even talk about my stupid school. There aren't too many jobs around here, so I'm trying to go somewhere else for the summer and work.

Okay I am really confused! I was invited to the accepted students thing on Friday by email, but I haven't been accepted yet due to problems with the internet app beyond my control?!?!?

^^Daya, I always see your posts on HBCU Connect. I'm on there too, but I'm still a "Lurker", because I hardly ever post.
So are all of y'all definitely going to Howard?
