Yeah, she got the card saying they received her application. The deadline is Nov. 1 according to the card. I hope your right about her getting a decision letter by next week because she has her heart set on Howard and the rest of the schools she applied to won't get back to her until March so this would also help ease anxiety.

Quick Question: Is Howard Acceptance letter a big envelope or one of those small ones that trick you like some schools send? lol

ohh ok...hopefully she gets in...and yeah, a week or so...and the acceptance letter comes in a big white envelope... where else did she apply? I also applied to Spelman, FAMU, and Clark Atlanta...

i got into Spelman and I didnt hear from FAMU and Clark Atlanta yet..but i know ill get in cuz those are easy to get into..

UConn, Hartford, some others, but Howard is definately number 1 or 2. I guess we'll just be waiting for the mailman then. Wish her luck. Congrats on Spelman and Howard. Which way are you leaning?

When she sent her online application did she send in everything else in the mail by november 1st? If they didn't get everypart of the application by the deadline they haven't looked at it. Well you can always call and ask.

yeah, im goin to Howard 4 sure...i sent in my housing apps last week...
my mom wanted me to go to Spelman though...she felt it was safer and she liked it because it was an all-girl school...
but i like howard better...and im lookin 4ward to bein there in the fall...

Yeah, she sent her transcript, recs, resume all in I think a day before or day after she sent in her online app (Oct 28). They were definately postmarked in October that's for sure. She also took the October SATs. If Howard didn't count her for early action, that'd be messed because she submitted the things by the deadline. Since so many kids take the Oct. SATs I'm sure that didn't hurt her in getting a timely evaluation.


***Due to President's Ford's death there will be no activity by the U.S. Postal Service on the January 2nd, meaning we have to wait until Wednesday to see if a decision letter comes. Oh well, it would be worth the wait

Well, the registar<sp?> at my school didn't mail in my transcript after I was told that she would do so. I applied Early Action so they said once they recieve my transcript, they will look over my application. I will probably mail it priority tomorrow after I demand a transcript on the hour. I was very excited to find out if I got accepted but never found out and I saw people who recieved their acceptances and so I called and was shocked. Well, things happen. Im just blessed to see 2007, for now. I'm waiting on Morehouse now and UT/TAMU/TULANE.

I'm actually a lil different from most of u, I'm a college freshman and i'm actually gonna transfer to Howard next year from The U or Unviersity of Miami...I got in to Howard last yearand am reapplying thhis year... so if u need to know anything just let me kno if u want to u can find me on facebook (an uneeded neccessicty in college trust me) under Jarvis under Miami's network. Good luck to you all with the application processes it sucks now but u'll be doing backflips once ur in college....hopefully c some of u next fall

I hope she gets in too. Her first SATs was in May and second in October. We called admissions and all we got were answer machines and full mailboxes. Once we get a person we should know what's up. zqjazz, I'm starting to think though that she wasn't counted for early action, which sucks. Now it's totally up in the air when she gets it.
