I was accepted to Howard lastspring. With those stats you definetly have a chance of getting accepted.

Did you apply for the early action decision before you got your admission? ..... I am also aware that you were awarded a scholarship - so am wondering wether applying for the early action decision is a big part of getting the scholarship or is it basically because of pure eligibility?....

And am applying for this fall and am wondering on wether you can give advice on any other thing i can do to get a scholarship because am v.interested...lol.

thanx!

Scholarships are based mostly on SAT and GPA. Financial aid at this school isn't the best. But I know a lot of people who got the legacy scholarship, which is full tuition. The only other people I know with scholarships are those on sports teams or in the band.

Well tuoyo, I did not send my application into Howard until a week before the February deadline. I was accepted in March and received notice of my Legacy Scholarship in April. So, it seems you do have a chance of getting a scholarship regardless of when you apply. I think they place a big emphasis on the SAT score. I know folks at HU who had 3.8 and 3.7 GPA but didn't get the scholarship. I had a 3.72 GPA and 2000/1320 SAT.
