Thanks I AM LEGEND. 15? What the heck lol. Oh my gosh I bet there's a whole bunch of people who qualify. I hope I get it. I really need that scholarship. Howard is my number one choice if I don't get that scholarship I might end choosing Pace University or Penn State. This is my second time applying and I couldn't go the first time because my parents couldn't afford all of it. I'll be devastated or p-i-s-s-e-d lol.

Good Luck with the scholarship too, I hope you get it. That would be amazing if we both got it lol.

To everyone who's still waiting to hear if they got in GOOD LUCK to you all. I know how you guys feel because I checked my mailbox everyday and was a nervous reck lol.

comatosis...thank you, good luck to you too! Actually, I submitted my application and other materials on Feb. 12. Maybe we get in on the same day lol

Well Howard's administration seems pretty slow. I have sent several mails (almost 10) to them but they responded to me ONLY ONCE. I called them too but they didn't give me enough information. In addition, my status on application summary is now "incomplete items outstanding (college transcription)" though I sent those already. I am emailing them soon about this issue but will they write me back...?

Yes, I've also checked the website and it says incomplete items outstanding. Hopefully that's a mistake...I'm going to try and call them and make sure they have my items...

Hey comatosis and m you should still call to make sure for yourself but i kind of went through the same thing I applied online and sent my stuff in it said incomplete items outstanding for about two weeks. So perhaps you have to wait two to three weeks for it show online.

I don't know if you already called, but if you can get through they should be able to help you out.

Did anyone get the financial aid package yet? Or know when it's supposed to come?

miss_spelman.... Congrats on getting into the mecca!!!
lemme make a stab in the dark and guess that Spelman is your first choice

Did you find out via mail or e-mail/Howard's portal that u got accepted?
If you found out via e-mail/Howard's portal, allow two weeks to receive your official package and about two days after that to get your scholarship offer... At least that's how mine came.

I've been there but it was a really short trip so I really can't give you any opinions about the campus or surrounding area... There's an open house on March 27 for admitted students so, if you can make it, check it out and make a decision for yourself.

Once again congrats on your acceptance and good luck in your final decision process!

Wait so your financial information is included in your acceptance package. I found out I got in, in December maybe they might send it now cause it was so early?

walcott0108... i think u should call HU's financial aid office to see what's the hold up. Maybe you were selected for FAFSA verification so they may have placed a hold on your financial file until you and your parents' 2008 tax returns are submitted. Maybe the package got lost in the mail. Maybe someone in HU's financial aid office got hungry and the only thing around was your package.. lol... but on a serious note, call them asap because May 1 is approaching and you need to know where you stand financially.

i came across this link that said 'financial validation'
https://banweb.howard.edu:4443/pls/P...l.pz_fval_inqy
i logged in but i couldn't find anything. i might have logged in when the service is not available so u can try it back to see if u get through.

miss_maybespelman... u should wait until Monday and see if anything comes in the mail. if nothing came, call them. oh, try the link above too.

I am going to choose, haven't confirmed as yet, the City College of New York because they offer the major that I'm really interested in (Environmental Engineering), they're engineering program is pretty respected in the ny/nj area, it's in New York, and they have very active clubs that i wanna join in college. Plus, i got into this really cool program.. Macaulay Honors College... it offers a full scholarship, laptop, $7500 study/travel grant, a dedicated adviser, and priority housing & class registration. It would be kinda hard to turn down an offer like that, especially in this economy.
My fc was U Maryland but I'm oos and wasn't offered a lot of money so that ain't gonna happen. Howard was tied for my second choice with City College. If it wasn't for Macaulay i would definitely been in a toss up between Howard & City.

I hope u guys hear back from Howard soon.

Thanks so much. I definetly will call monday. I was going to wait till I got the financial aid information to send the housing application fee but I think ill just send it just in case because the deadline is April 1. I also haven't any financial aid stuff from Hampton. I only got financial aid information from one school that I got into. This sucks. I really want to go to Howard and find out if my parents can afford it.
