Howard's Civil Engineering Program

I really like the atmosphere at the "mecca" but I can't find any information about the engineering program anywhere. Can you tell me how good are the faculty, labs and research opportunities? How does it compare to other programs? What makes it different?

Thanks in advance for your comments!

CEACS (School of Engineering, Architecture and, Computer Sciences) has the best support on campus for students. As for my friends in other schools, their advisor refuses to see them at times. weird right? The faculty is good, you just have to know which professors to choose. I personally found a professor that had the same interests as me and i have a paid research opportunity this summer as a freshman. So, id say that CEACS is better than the rest of the schools on campus. Plus there are alot of internal perks!

Thank you very much for your insight Jamami. That's so cool that you got the research opportunity, and as a freshman too! Congrats!!!

I have a few more questions for you:
Can you tell me more about those internal perks that you are talking about?
How good is the job placement program for civil engineers at Howard?
What are some of the graduate schools that the recent students have gone to?
What are average sizes of your classes?
Are the labs up-to-date?
Do you have a social life as an engineering student or are the classes flooding your schedule?
Is there a lot of emphasis on environmental engineering in the civil program?

Thanks again!
