Howard university

I have recently finished my application. (VERY ANXIOUS)
I am now in the waiting process. It is very unbearable.
I have been trying to check my status but it will not let me check my status.
I am beginning to think im doing something wrong.
Does anyone know how to check status on Howard University webpage?

I have completed & submitted my application. I also had the same problem as ldeloris, I ended calling the HU Admissions office and they answered all of my questions. Now the waiting game begins :/

Although it was 2 years ago, my kid got the acceptance package via Fed-Ex Christmas Eve day. I believe last year's applicants got it a bit earlier in December.

Good luck.

Well when I applied as a freshman, I did early action and didn't get my acceptance letter til March. I decided not go to Howard freshman year. But applied again last year and I got mine a couple of days before Christmas. So if you didn't get it by now its alright. I know the feeling because I checked my mailbox everyday after school. But you'll know if something is missing from your application, they let you know asap. They usually don't start sending acceptance letters out til like the end of November and throughout December. I go to Howard now and I really like it. I mean there's a couple of things that could be better but overall I really like here. If you have any other questions, I'll be more than glad to help you out or answer them.

As a graduate of Howard U, I would suggest that if you know what your major is, contact the department in which you applied and speak to the freshman admissions rep. They are generally more specific to your applications. General admissions office are only looking on a computer at your application and what was updated from your actual department you applied to. Good Luck and for those who decide to go, welcome to the HU family!

My essay, my GPA, and letter of recommendation. My essay was about what my strength and weaknesses, won't lie it was amazing. Haha. My GPA for high school was a 3.4 but when I wanted to transfer my GPA was a 3.6. Get your letter of recommendation from a teacher that you're close with and build a relationship with your guidance counselor. I would take the ACTs and the SATs too just incase one score is better than the other because they do accept both. Oh yeah and I would do early action even though I think that's late because the early action deadline is usually November 1st. I did early action both times I applied and got in both times so I think applying early helps. It also helps you stand out from other students because you're in a smaller pool of applicants compared to a larger pool when you apply by the regular deadline.

If you guys have any other questions let me know. PM me because I'm soo busy with all this work I have to do before break.

Good Luck guys!

Status

Unfortunately they did not
Howard needs to revamp their whole admissions website. What really is the point of doing a application on the computer, when you can't even check your status. You have to call them to see whats going on. They do not offer much detail either.
