So, I'm at the University of Washington now.

I was wondering if I can get credits for my CBSE coursework (like IB, A-Level etc). I consulted officials at the college but they are asking to consult more people.

Oh, I'm an undergrad freshman starting this Fall.

What's your take?

On what CBSE coursework? Math, Science, possibly. Anything else, probably not.

How do I go about getting credits on Math and Science? I'm guessing I'd be needing some conversion or something..

Phone them. Go to the website, find a contact number, pick up the phone, and make the call. Say, I go to this and this school, study this and this curriculum, know this and this in mathematics, science, etc. Am I eligible for credits? For example, I would expect that coming out of CBSE, you already know differential and integral calculus. Believe it or not, many American students entering the same college will not already know those topics. Also, you can ask if there is any placement test you can take to skip some courses. Some colleges have those.

I agree with the user who posted above me..
Ask them about all of this because some uni's do let u appear an exam and if u pass it then u can skip the course

Called them and they said very bluntly that CBSE isn't recognised.

Well, if it isn't recognized, there's nothing you can do.

True...they don't give credit for it, not in most universities...
BUT I heard something about Duke giving credit for CBSE courses...I'm not sure, I just vaguely remember my counselor saying something about an ex student receiving credit for physics or something...
On the other hand, some universities give credit for SAT IIs, might want to look into those....
