They send you a letter the week after auditions. Either a no..maybe..or yes. My D got a no.
I don't know how many auditioned that day, but around 300 will end up auditioning there and they said they only accept 10.
There was a morning and afternoon session of students. I'm going to guess 35-40 in each group? Students who got yes's and maybe's heard back a week later; rejections heard back by the middle of the second week. I believe there is one more audition remaining.
IU has an amazing program. They have had a BA theatre program for many years. They just decided to go one step further. So even though it is a new BFA program, MT is not new to IU.
Songbirdsmom & hslevin - I just checked with my D and it turns out I had my schools mixed up; the boy I referred to was actually accepted at Ithaca. Sorry for causing confusion .
