Hey guys! So I have orientation on July 10th and I'm dying to get a good idea of the classes I'm going to be taking. My major is Apparel Merchandising, but I'm really interested in the culinary arts (NOT dietetics.) I was wondering if any of you know of any culinary classes that I could take as a pure elective...or I guess even a minor? Thanks in advance!

IU does not have a culinary arts program.

The local community college (Ivy Tech) does offer a program:
Hospitality Administration - Ivy Tech Community College

There is also a cooking school in Bloomington: Bloomington Cooking School | Cooking Classes in Bloomington Indiana

Occasionally, there are non-credit classes offered to the community at Bloomingfoods.

Of course, Bloomington has a great variety of ethnic restaurants.

I believe there are some people in the Anthro Dept. who have an interest in the Anthropology of Food, but this doesn't extend to actual cooking.
