Middle Eastern Studies Program

Does anyone know how hard it is to get in this program, and where it ranks with other universities in the country.

I want to major in Middle Eastern Studies and would like more information about the program.

Thank you

If you are referring to foreign language programs, Indiana ranks among the best in the country--and is one of the very few universities that offers language programs in both middle eastern and central asian languages.

Now if you are planning on majoring in the Middle Eastern history and cultural program (including Islamic studies), I have to confess I know very little about this program. My own son is taking all his international courses in the Western European concentration, and therefore I (and he) do not get much info about the Middle Eastern major. I suggest you contact people in the department, which you can do by writing to:
meis@indiana.edu (MEIS=Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies)

Good luck to you in getting the information you want.
