Congrats Apineiro.

Good luck to all still waiting.

I'm just glad this one is over. Waiting until April 1 for the rest is going to be crazy hard!

ilovefhf, I got that email too! Do you know if that means that they're going to look at the application soon, or if it's just a confirmation that they got it? I'm so anxious to find out whether I got in! (crossing my fingers)

My daughter submitted her application on October 18, but had her higher ACT score of 30 sent after she got it back. I'm assuming they got it by now. When I called to find out last week, the admissions person said "She didn't apply by the Nov. 1 deadline". HUH? At the time I knew it was before that---just not sure of the date. "Nope", she said. It says right here November 4th". Hmmmm. My daughter called when she got home and after some paper shuffling her original admission date was found. They had apparently updated it on the 4th. I'm still not sure if they had the upgraded ACT score. I hope so because that's what will get her the $9,000 scholarship. (Not that it will help a lot since we're OOS in California. )

Is there a portal on IU online that my daughter can check the status of her application and if her higher score was received? Also, at the time her transcript and counselor form wasn't available for the admissions person, but she said they were still going through all of them. Her counselor personally mailed them himself in late October.

It's good you called. I'm sure a University of that size is SWAMPED right now. Can you imagine all the details for all their applicants? My guess is that the school processed it properly, you just got someone who couldn't READ it properly. I'll bet they employ dozens of temps or students whose job it is just to read and input this stuff. Of course...I don't KNOW that. So you do have to watch out for your own one child, especially in this electronic age. I was flustered when I found out that my D was applying everywhere online, and that scores would be sent online from another place (and you HOPED they matched up), and recs from another, etc. I think ONE envelope with EVERYTHING in it just seems so much simpler. But, then ...I'm old and simple.

At any rate...it's sorted AND their website says they ARE still accepting apps with scholarship consideration so hopefully you're golden. I'm sure there are SO many people in this same boat. I myself just sent an updated SAT II score for my D..in the hopes they'll get it added before any selective scholarship considerations.

All this stress is why I made my daughter do her stressing EARLY, then just sit back and not worry while everyone else was starting to panic. Even then, I'd have liked her to be a LOT earlier!

Good luck to ya!

2leashes, I think they can tell you what SAT/ACT scores they have for her over the phone. They did for my son when he sent in a higher score after first applying with a lower score.

I'm pretty sure they said her new score had arrived. But then when she informed me (incorrectly) that my daughter hadn't applied until Nov. 4, I got a bit flustered and honestly can't remember what she told me now re; the score. I think my daughter said they HAD received it (after she called back with proof of her October 18th application)...and even though her transcripts weren't sitting right there, they're supposedly somewhere else with others being sorted through. WE hope!

@2leashes

It doesn't matter if your daughter got her application in by November 1st for 9k. Because according to their website they are still handing out scholarships to students who applied today.

When do you think she'll find out of she got accepted?

I'm just curious when they might let my daughter know if she was accepted or not. If she applied October 18, do you think it will be soon if they have all her scores and transcript? This is the first school she applied to and still her top choice.

Thanks!

2Leashes - My daughter submitted her application on August 25th, but her transcript, etc. didn't get there until October 30th. She got an accepted email yesterday. Hope that helps.
