^ Good luck dude. Hope you make it in too.

As for major, I put Exploratory down on the application. It'll most likely be something english related; I might try and get into Journalism.

This is so cool! I'm like mad excited now.

loonlake, when you received your acceptance, with your stats, you most likely got an offer to hutton ....what is involved in applying to the honors college, or any scholarships... does it require essays etc.

*****From the hutton honor college website:

If you are invited, our official HHC invitation packet will be mailed to you a few weeks after you have been formally admitted to IUB. The packet includes a return postcard for you to send us if you wish to accept our invitation. You will have until May 1, 2010 to return the HHC acceptance postcard.

You can find out much sooner about your eligibility for the HHC as well as the Selective Scholarship Application (the SSA is the means for applying for the HHC Scholarship as well as other programs and scholarships) in an Office of Admissions email sent to you as soon as that office has made an admissions decision.

Once you have followed the email's directions on how to set up your OneStart account and how to access the SSA, you will see which programs and scholarships you are eligible for (including the Hutton Honors College). You will have only 30 days from the time the IUB Office of Admissions email is sent to you to complete the SSA, so be sure to watch for that email!

****So if you got an email with your acceptance you may want to check it to access your account as there is a time limit of 30 days. i'm not absolutely sure of the requirements but would think your stats make it a possibility.

Follow up question:

What is involved on the SSA application? How many essays, recs, short writes, etc. are required?

Regarding the SSA application: I recall DD sent in two recommendations. One needed to be from a non-teacher. Since she was writing numerous essays for admissions at the time, I don't recall specifically what went to IU. I believe it was one longer essay and perhaps one or two shorter type essays.

One word of advice though: look for YOUR deadline. Everyone has a different deadline based upon the admission date.
