SATs for international students

I'm interested in studing in the US, and realize I need to take the SATs and ACT to do this. The problem is I don't know how to. How can I request these exams and when should I take them?
I appreciate anyone's help.

You can find instructions on how to register for these exams on collegeboard.org (SAT) or actstudent.org (ACT). Most countries have at least one test center for each test; usually an international school, but you don't have to be a student there to take the exam.

Most students choose to take the tests in the spring of their junior year or the fall of their senior year. In any case, you should complete all testing by the application deadlines of the colleges you are applying to. The more selective colleges have application deadlines in December and January (for entry in the following August or September). Early Decision and Early Action deadlines can be as early as November 1.

Not all colleges requires you to do the SAT/ACT. Each college has their own policy so you'll need to check the application requirements for international students.

You don't have to take both the SAT and the ACT; take the TOEFL, have a councellor or school official fill out forms on the Common App for you and send an official school transcript and you'll be fine !
I am French too and I know how hard it is to apply from abroad, so if you have any question, PM me !
