WES evaluation and A-Levels

Hey,

Some of the colleges I'm applying to require that I have my A-Levels (and GCSEs) sent to WES for evaluation.

Does anyone know how they evaluate the grades? That is, how are the grades "converted"? WES said they wouldn't compute a GPA but they'd put the letter grades.

What would the US equivalent of As, Bs, Cs, Ds and Es at GCSE and A-Level be?

I tried searching through CC but could only find that info for the Abitur. Google yielded a document from transcriptresearch.com and the following (if I recall correctly) is their scale for A-Levels:

A = A+
B = A
C = B
D = C+
E = C
F = F

I reckon that this document is quite old seeing as GCSEs and A-Levels have introduced the A* grade a few years ago and have stopped using Fs in favour of Us.

Thanks!
