UC Santa Cruz Junior (2 years completed) wanting to "travel abroad" (independently), or full-transfer, to Argentina! (Or perhaps some other country.)
Major: Philosophy
GPA: ~2.8
Have you studied in Argentina? What was it like? Which university?
I know some Spanish. By the time I get there, I could probably be able to hold a conversation... but it's doubtful I could understand humanities classes in Spanish.
Specifics:
- Are there any decent English medium schools? Lincoln (Buenos Aires)? Universidad de Belgrano? CEA Global Education? (

-OK, let's say I can go with a minimal amount of Spanish. Can I even get a student Visa? I read you need to know Spanish just to get the Visa. Is there a test? How hard is it?
- When can I expect to start school? I read the academic year in Argentina ends this month. Do I have time to apply for the next academic year? When is that?
- OK, I've been saving the best question for last. Does Argentina's psychoanalytical culture extend to the universities? If so, which? Any of the English medium ones? That would be very nice - if the universities were not as closed-minded to the subject as the UC's. (Not to say you can't study analysis here, but you have to do so specifically - in just a class or two - when it's the broadness of analysis that makes it shine!)
OK that about does it. If you are looking at this thinking I must be a terrible googler, well you are right. Honest!
Ciao y muchos gracias!
