Hey,I am currently a freshman at Tulane.Probably I can give you some information regarding the scholarship and financial aid package at Tulane. There are three types of academic scholarships offered by Tulane:The Dean's Honor Scholarship,The Distinguished Scholar Award,The Founders Award. The Dean's Honor covers full tuition but does not cover room and board. The Distinguished Award is $22000 for this year,up $4000 from last year!(Hey,it's a huge increase).Founders Award is the same amount as the Distinguished Scholar Award, but awarded to students with families working in the education industry. And Tulane offers a maximum of $15000 need-based financial aid to international students. In one way or the other, intl students have to pay room and board out of their pockets since the maximum amount of Tulane academic scholarship only covers tuition and Tulane doesn't offer amount of money that exceeds the Dean's Honor Scholarship.Guys, hope this helps.Oh,yeah...Tulane is a very prestigious university.Nice weather, beautiful campus, nice professors, good reputation make it the ideal place to study. But,keep it in mind that kids here do party a lot while still getting "A"s and "B"s.

Yeah, I love New Orleans (though never been there). If I go to the U.S, I'll definitely visit the city. Mardi Gras is really a big fest. And there's a jazz festival in the summer or around spring, I don't remember well, at a special place call the Fest Quarter, right?
to thibi_yen: unfortunately, I'm not applying to any school in Cali Mine are around the east cost or the midwest

On a University's website, where it says stuff about costs, Is the tution (and room/board blablah) cost for 'out of state' residents, the same for international students?.. Or do internationals have to pay a bit more?

think so. but usually, if the school is private, it doesn't distinguish cost for in-state and for out-of-state or int'l students.

OK, sorry! After so long time, you decided to establish the law of "CC terms"! Maybe, that's right!
