| I didnt got your reference point?I mean,r u askin me bout the preference of Indian colleges or US colleges?...............Well,as for Indian colleges,as ppl here mostly gives importance to Engineering n Medicals.....for engineering,Many ppl try to IIT(Indian Inst. of Tech.) and in the northern part its a kind of TREND...we spend 2 religious yrs(i.e.,11th n 12 yrs..) for prep for IIT entrance exam.......(thats y I dont hav a good EC record..n a bit of low grades...although I managed to deal with it..)......out of 3 lac ppl, only 5000 are selected......(As it is one of the most prestigious college in the world in terms of acadmics..)...then we hav AIEEE(All India Engineering Entrance Exam)....thru which we get in good colleges(i.e.,National Institute of Tech.(NIT)..there are many NITs(bout 10)........then there is a separate exam for BITs,Pilani(2nd best to IITs in INDIA..)..
In Medical, ppl dedicate same amt of time in prp of PMT(Pre-Medical Test)...this exam is considered as imp as IIT-JEE(Joint Entrance Exam....which is considered the toughest exam at this level..)..
There are good colleges for Commerce....like Cris.....n not to forget the world class colleges for MBA-IIMs(Indian Inst. of Management...they are top B-schools).........other courses/degrees are NOT worth mentioning.... |

| well.. but it doesnt have as much green space as trinity does though! it's very much in the city with vehicles running through campus. if u like living in a city and don't mind not having much green space and as much quiet, MIT suits u! |

| Hmmm........ ..it took me lots of time writtin that...
Forget it,Well,as for US unis,to tell u frankly, there is not much enthusiasm for that(at least in the locality where I live),n whoever applies to US always seeks TOP colleges(i.e.,MIT,Stanford,Ivies........others are cosidered as ..sheesh..they are not at all consdered...only a well versed person knows where to apply....lol) |

| aite.2 days and I had to go back three pages. nice to c Indian frens joinin us too. and shail619 didn't you said that u can apply to only 15 schools. I think u mentioned it somewhere. and abt the essays, do we really have to rite different essays to each schools we apply to. unless we are applying for a particular scholarship program. |
