| Class of 2011 from Nepal...lets discuss here Put your stats and let's compare our chances!!!
Hey all Nepalese students applying this fall...anxious about college admissions?.. lets calm down the things by putting in all our stats so as to be asssured about our real chances as far as the competition from Nepal goes....similar to mine below....
Male , attended probably the best school in the whole of Nepal. Best in terms of competitiveness (find out which one)
SAT: 790 M, 600 CR, 670 W
SAT 2: Physics 770, Math 1 790, Math 2 800
TOEFL: 280/300
A LEVELS With 'A" in Physics, Chemistry, Moths, B in General Paper, C in Further Moths

Transcript description: MOSTLY all A's
Took the most difficult course available at school
EC: Tried hands at almost everything school had to offer;
Singing, dancing, drama on stage
Executive member of the Creativity Club
School Captain while at Class 10
House Captain while at class 10
Deputy House captain while at class 10
School prefect (member of student council) while in senior year
Played cricket, soccer
Known for public speaking commitments in the school
Participated in the national Mathematics Quiz
Won the Online Quiz held at the regional level
Plenty of public speaking contests victories while at school
Recommendations: impressive I guess, I seem to have good bond with teachers; don't know why
Essays: good one; have received quite a lot of good responses
Volunteered for 'Human resources Development Centre Nepal' which helps to bring changes in the society by uniting the efforts of youth
Job Experience of counseling to 'A" level students just after completing my A levels
Will be applying to 15 colleges:

Competitive, slight chance, no chance, strong points, weak points??

CR - 770
Math - 800
Writing - 730
SAT II
Math II - 800
Physics - 800
Chemistry -800
GPA: doesn't count gpa.. what can u expect from a school from third world.
Took Alevels
always got As in other subjects and B in GP in 11 and 12
all As in 9 and 10
Final Alevels:
Physics(A) , Chemistry(A) , Math(A) , Further math(A), General paper as level (c) ,Economics as level -independently self studied- (a), thinking skills as level -independently self studied -(a)..
APs:
didn't know that they exist until i saw a cliff book. tried to learn about it..a single school in my country offered it...so took it after self-studying for a month.
Calculus BC- 5 (5 ab subscore)
Physics C (e&m and m)- 5 and 5
Chemistry - 5
AP scholar with honor
Rank - 3/96
School - one of the Best school of my country
Essays: Very good, everyone loved how personal it was.
Rec Letters: should be great
ECs:
the usual stuff...vp of a club, member of another, house prefect, dozens of medals....
Work experience:
- taught as a 8th grade mathematics teacher
- taught 2 alevel students as private tutor.
- Volunteered in Child Nepal an Non governmental organization, which helps orphans
Awards:
Became 6th out of 300000 students from all over the country in the board exam which all grade ten students have to take...being in top tenth position is the highest achievement for high school students in Nepal
got about 10 awards for the same thing... |

| even not many Americans will be able to beat those numbers for one simple reason, sailesh6126 has perfect scores in everything (2300 and 2400 are basically the same). The one who supposedly might beat him in numbers should have 100% perfect scores...can't see that happening...Princeton.. someone is coming from Nepal |
