International Students at top LAC

To all international students who were accepted into Williams or Swarthmore or Middlebury or any good LAC in the past 5 years.. may I know your stats and why do you think you were accepted (other than the fact that you guys are GOOD!) Any hooks like being the first from your country to be accepted.......

Thanks

That would be interesting, but the situation four or five years ago was complete different from what it is now. Not only that college admission has generally become more competitive, but the wide-spread use of the internet has made it really easy to apply to foreign universities.

Check out the old threads on this site, you will be able to find stats of ppl accepted/waitlisted/denied. Anyway, stats are not everything. I am a strong believer that you need to let your personality shine through in your application. Show them what makes you YOU, and how you are different from the other thousands of applicants. Without any amazing acheivements(olympic level sports, science olympic medalist, setting up your own successful company/charity), your personality can be your greatest hook. All the best!
