i will decide where to apply (and RD/ED) after I've visited schools in fall. At this stage, Penn seems to be the best for me and my goals and I can also imagine applying ED -- but nothing's for sure yet. I'm also fine with applying nowhere ED if I'm not set on any school.

ajayc, do you live in a rural or urban place right now? aren't you afraid of being in the middle of nowhere? (I don't have problems with Dartmouth nor do I want to challenge your decision. Just wondering)

hey, no problem Rister you can ask anything you want EVEN if you are challenging my decision I live in one of the metro cities of India. I suppose the biggest city in India.

Now coming to the case of Dartmouth. I accept that Dartmouth isnt in BIG city. But college for me is having the time of your life, making strong relationships etc. Dartmouth Engg. Dept allows me to have close interaction with the Professors and also they motivate their students to think about innovations. Thats all I need!

Dartmouth Campus is breath taking! People say that going to Darmouth is like going on a 4 year holiday!

Cheers!

@ajayc - How do you know MIT won't have those qualities?
Plus how do you know Dartmouth has those qualities? Have you visited it and interacted with its professors?

I never said MIT wont have those qualities. What matters is what college FITS you. You shouldnt be following the crowd. Just because everyone wants to goto MIT so do I.

I have been talking with a lot of students from Dartmouth and been reading their blogs and news. Also read the College Visit reports here on CC. Its just absolutely wonderful! I love dartmouth! and that ends it for me.

Consider Caltech dont even think of going there until and unless you are a hardcore maths and science guy. Because even after studying all day long people dont get above B or something

just kidding if you love caltech or MIT then so be it!

Oh I see you are going to USC, Congratulations and Good Luck!!

Iam going tomorrow to ktm for the engineering entrance preparation. I don't want to study Engineering here in Nepal, yet I have to do it for safety. Who knows future! And for a girl who is born on the thirteenth, i must be ready for any danger in life that comes along with my bad luck. I don't totally believe in luck, yet I can't deny it.Frens, please provide me some of ur words that could instill in hope inside me!
