| I am now a junior, and I am high school class of '08. However, since I am applying to different kind of programs with different lengths, I could be either class of '11, class of '12, or class of '13!
Anyways, this is where I plan on applying (might add some more to the list, and perhaps slightly change the major):
University of Wales, Aberystwyth: BscEcon in International Relations - 3 years
University of St Andrews: MA in International Relations - 4 years
London School of Economics and Political Science: Bsc in International Relations - 3 years
Sciences-Po Paris : 1er Cycle Iberoamerican in Poitiers - 2 years + Year abroad or internship - 1 year (no diploma granted) + Master's in International Relations - 2 years (= 5 year program)
University de Geneve: Bachelor's in International Affairs - 3 years
Franklin College Switzerland: BA in International Relations - 4 years
Jacobs University Bremen: BA in International Politics and History - 3 years

| Hello people!
I'm an exchange student in the US this year but will be a senior in France next year.
I plan to apply to 5 colleges or so in the US (Ivies and top colleges), some French "prepas" and "facultes de medecine".
I'm not sure yet on whever going to the US for undergraduate or graduate studies but we'll see.
I took the SATs in March but didn't do as well as I thought. I got 2000 which is OK because I've only been learning english for 3 years in school but unfortunately not enough for the schools I aim. Will be retaking them in June or October.
I've been a member of this forum for a few months now but never really got involved in it so now is time!
Hey r6mille I see you will be applying to sciences po. Nice school! Too french/history focused for me though. Are you (fluent in) french or is there a special program for non-french speakers? |

| I speak french as a native french speaker (although I am spanish), I have been studying it since I was 6 years old, and I spent my entire "coll?ge" (which would be 6th grade - 9th grade) in french lyc?es. Right now I am studying in an American International School.
By the way, the program that I want to apply is not the regular Sciences-Po Paris (which is, as you said, french-focused), it's a program in Poitiers which focuses on the history and politics of Spain, Portugal, and Latin-America (I am from Spain by the way). The classes are in French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. You spend two years in Poitiers, one year studying abroad or doing un "stage" (internship), and the last two years in Paris studying for the Master of your choice (in my case, International Relations). You get no bachelor's degree, you directly get a Master's in 5 years. http://www.iberoamerica.sciences-po.fr/
I'm really hoping that I can get in (it's my first choice), but it will be hard (would take too long to explain why). |

| nice list r6mile.
And, if you don't mind me daring to give some sort of advice, kick Franklin College out of that list!
University of Geneva is much better (especially with it's location in Geneva for International Relations -so many international organisations, UN organisations, etc.-), and it's practically free!
Plus, if you have the required AP's/the IB or another degree equivalent to the Swiss Matura, you can be sure that you'll be admitted - there is not really an admission process! |

| Yes I know that University of Geneva is much better, I would much rather go there, however, I have a problem with their AP requirements.
Required AP exams (left side are the requirements, right side are the equivalent AP exams that I have taken/will take):
1 native language: AP English Language
1 foreign language: AP French Language, AP Spanish Language, AP Italian Language & Culture
1 social science: AP World History, AP European History, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Comparative Government and Politics
1 mathematics: AP Statistics (not sure if that will count as math)
1 natural science (biology, chemistry, physics): NONE
I will obtain an AP International Diploma for sure ( http://www.collegeboard.com/student/...grd_intl.html), and I hope they will consider that an equivalent of the Swiss Matura, even though the requirements for both are not exactly the same (although very very similar). If not, I hope my excess of AP exams in the social sciences and foreign language areas will make up for the natural science exam, and the math exam (it depends if Statistics is counted as math by UniGe). |

| wow, respect! You're AP load looks HUGE, but your lack of natural sciences might hurt you, because actually these are really the requirements.
However, your International Diploma may help you! I recommend you to contact Nicole Schurch ( http://www.collegeboard.com/student/...itzerland.html ).
