| I don't know much about being pre-med at Duke, but being pre-med at Brown is fantastic. The competition is never cut-throat because by virtue of the open curriculum each student is automatically distinguished from the others by their transcript (since you choose your own classes, everyone's transcript is unique). I got to know the other pre-meds fairly well over my years at brown and they are (almost) all friendly, fantastic people. Organic Chemistry, which pre-meds elsewhere hate, is one of the best taught classes at Brown with one of the most loved professors. And at the end of the day, Brown places students very well into top medical schools.
Currently, I advise pre-meds at Harvard this experienced has confirmed in my mind how lucky I was to be a pre-med at Brown.
Other folks can talk about Duke, but if you have any other questions about Brown let me know. |
