"That was my initial reaction too, when I read that"

you know, there is nothin funny about it, but i cant stop being amused by it...would have never thought tht of all ppl such would be 1 of those ppl, who writes a diary. I am not sayin tht it is a funny/weird thing...infact, i think it is a gr8 thing...memories forever...but never knew ne1 who wrote a diary...it is just soo movies like stuff...u know wht i mean???

imagine such writing in her diary
"dear diary,
my day was normal. I tried to study really hard for the boards exam today but ended up doing just alright. Premanjali's and I had a longer 'tution class' than I had expected and I was really exhausted after that. So to get refreshed, I ended up going on CC, where the guys were there usual self (full of themselves) and tried to give me a hard time. In the process of self-defense, i ended up wasting about 30 mins.
Other than that, I again had my princeton dream last night. It was my first day @ Princeton and I was all excited to attend my first class. In the first class, the prof. asked us to tell us where we were all from...as we were going around, towards the back of the class (ofcourse, i was sittin in the front row) a student announced, "akash bhansal, India" - i was so shocked and before I can turn around and look at him...I woke up"

DU is delhi university. DU colleges take your best four subjects and that's the percentage which is used for cutoffs and stuff. non-academic subjects like fine arts and physical education can't be one of them, but i was wondering if computer science was 'academic' enough to be counted. (proposed course of study - econ - for which the cutoffs happen to be insane at any good college)

maybe i just won't have to bother, tho here's to hopin

i was reading these decisions threads yesterday... sad stuff... and happy stuff.

it hurts if you really worked for something. i think a short period of mourning is perfectly okay.

i'd disagree...but whatever...the sad fact of the life is tht never ever will 100% of one's efforts and hard work get rewarded...but u learn from it and u grow with it...life is too short to cry abt small s hit like not getting admitted or not getting all As or a 4.0... if i die tomorrow, i hope i die with fond memories of crazy stuff than a file of marksheets with perfect As

talking about MIT...i just found out they probably will not be looking at my mid-yr grade report. supposedly they're already in committee stage so even if it reached them today (i already mailed it a few days back) they will not get it in time....thats wrong!
