Protest Against Closing Of The "indian Post"

ANY1 AND EVERY1 WHO WOULD LIKE TO REGISTER THEIR PROTEST AGAINST THE ADMINISTRATOR ROGER DOOLEY’S DECISION TO CLOSE THE INDIAN POST, PLEASE DO SO OVER HERE.
__________________________________________________ ____________________

Roger,

As a regular participant of the Indian post, I feel that I should write to you to protest against your decision to close the Indian post.

I have been a member of CC community since December 17th and the Indian post has helped me tremendously to complete my applications, discuss my college choices, ask mundane questions and foster friendships. For many of us, the Indian post was an avenue to get all the answers and ask application questions that we would have never asked otherwise. It never mattered if it was 3:00 in the morning or 6:00 in the evening, you request to get some guidance, and you would get it within 15 minutes.

Collegeconfidential.com is a great website with a lot of features and tools. But what makes it better than its competitors is its loyal base of active members and threads like the Indian post. As a business major aspirant, I would think that collegeconfidential.com has more to gain than lose by re-opening the Indian post and allowing its loyal client base get involved once again.

I hope that you would consider my/our request to reopen the Indian post. If the thread has got too big, consider breaking it into two while keeping the later half active.

Best,

adides

1) I really don't understand how a long thread can be bad
2) The Indian Post was a sort of "hub" for all of us - informative as well as relaxing. It's where we turned to for specific support in the Indian context.
3) 2600 posts isn't that long.
4) There was a request for an International Cafe, wasn't there? (mods?)
5) NONE of the posts were offensive, rambling, useless or anything of that sort...

Having said the above, I really don't think there's any point to argue against the closure. It's closed. So what? We have another thread. *shrugs* The mods aren't exactly outraged or anything... it's their website, follow their simple rules.

Just start a new one... really big threads are hard to follow, hard to search. (Check out the Musical Theater thread for an example of a continuing thread - it's on installment #38 now.)

Added: Looks like someone did start a new one: Indian Thread
