A suggestion: Look for pullovers and sweatshirts in Thamel. Some of them are REALLY good...Pullovers are not in stock anywhere else in Ktm.

have you people found out about things to be done here inkathmandu airport, the transits, the port of entry and the final destination? if so, why don't you share it here. it would be really really helpful to all of us.

Can someone please explain me about travel cheques? How does it work and is it a safe way to take your money?

@Rena ..thanks .. where are your transit stops ??

@ nissud.... travel cheques are absolutely safe ... well, the main logic behind TC is that unlike Cash, your money can be recovered even if your travel cheques gets lost by simply calling your bank.. moreover, it is very easy to use too.. you simply present your TC to a bank or a currency exchange shop, sign the TC on its backside and your work is done. You'll get the amount. the only problem you'll face with TC is when you seriously need cash and there aren't any banks or currency exchange shops around .. otherwise TC is quite safe n useful..

Didn't your university send you a book list or something? Or are you talking about extra books? I'm ordering used books from Amazon and having them shipped to my university mailbox.
