| Hi everyone...I am new to this site and its really good to see many nepali p'pol around. I am a nepali too but then I am already here in the us (bit lucky because of my father)..Well I am class of 2012 as well. I did my 12 from Nepal and it was 'not so recognized college' there, just a small one15 mins from my house. And now i feel how dumb i would have been had i still been there....we did know nothing and we would never know anything like you guys do now.....
And yes my two friends (girls) who are nepali too got into trinity college in connecticut. we went to the same college (they call it high school here) in Nepal....they had their recommendations mailed in from Nepal...but was not that tough for them as one of theirs mother was the vice principle of the college....so it was like they are applying from Nepal just that they are already in the us......they for sure wouldn't have got in had they still been in nepal...learnt a great lot of thing coming here,,,,happy for them....a greenish purple colored letter with a 'thumbs up' and smells good (haha) good financial aid too...don't know if its still good for you guys to consider applying there,,,,i'm not discouraging anyone though.. just informing.
and one piece of advice from my experience..........all you guys will probably be earning for your college degrees.....and if you are really going to pay a lot then do consider the location as well...p'pol end up in so remote places where jobs are so scarce that they are left clueless.
Good luck |
