Public Health Insurance Company for internationals? Does it exist?

My name is Raluca and I was accepted to Lafayette College. My financial aid is great, but I am a bit concerned about their Sudent Health Insurance Plan. I think it's way to expensive when compared to those of other colleges.

So is there any other way for us, internationals? Like a public health insurance company or anything like this?

I just got my financial stuff from Northwestern, and its health insurance is around the same. I think that's fairly normal.

i've heard that , at bryn mawr for exemple, the insurrance is only 1000$.But that's not the point actually, my question was: is there any other way?I mean, are there any other companies we can buy insurance from, other than those endorsed by a particular college? I think there are, of course, but as I am from ROMANIA, I have no clue about them. So, can anyone help me?
