I'll probably be enrolling in NUS as I'm not too optimistic about getting off the several waitlists I'm on. Currently considering applying for a transfer at the end of the next academic year ... here are some questions:

1) How recognised is NUS by top US colleges (let's say, the Ivies and their peer colleges, excluding HYPS)? Will a stellar/good first year at NUS be regarded as an adequate demonstration of my academic ability?

2) What is the minimum Cumulative Average Point (NUS's equivalent of GPA) I should aim for? What were the CAPs for successful transfers in the past?
