@alchemist
made me clear about my questions:
i have very low SAT scores as compared to other applicants from Nepal but i have excellent GPA's on junior high school and senior high school.And good ECA's too and good personal essay-but still worried about the SAT scores and its effect on admission.

I am writing about an essay about the Personal experiences while working in the rural district of Nepal and it's true in my life.But i don't know how has it impacted on the presentation of my essay.Please give me some more tips so that the students with low SAT Scores can easily get into the top tier colleges ?And cud u tell me which college do u belong to in USA?

^If u have a great history of academis n relatively so-so SAT scores it's better thn having 22hundreds in your SATs..........there r some great colgs tht will neglect the SAT scores.........probably im overstating the obvious as a newbie bt the list I would go for would include gettysburg, bates, bowdoin and so on.......

my GPA sucks.............so if anyone knows of colgs tht are SAT intensive or moreover writing intensive, could u plz list them.........tht wud b really helpful....cheers

these colleges may be a good choice ;

1)Elon College,Safety
2)Principia College,Safety
3)Providence College
4)Albright University
5)Whitman College
6)Whittier College
7)Sarah Lawrence College
8)Bennington College
9)Drew University
10)Center College
11)Lewis and Clark Colleges
12)Caldwell College
13)New Jersey Institute of Technology
14)Union College,Nevada
15)Howard University-Historically Black but has lots of advantages for best careers.

Most of these Colleges offer merit based aid (almost fulltuition) and for few of them we need to pay about 8 to 14k per year.Good options for those having average scores,GPA and average personal essays.

@gramblingscholar
do some research about the college that u applying which you can easily access from college's website. Look for the major you are interested and find out for unique aspect. Most importantly do research on professors. Show ur eagerness to meet him and also, if possible, jot down some curious question that u have for long time that u gonna ask him when u meet. Try ur best not to mention about school reputation and ranking (they don't want to hear that again and again). Look for something different and unique which make them surprise. Write something they don;t know about themselves.... (research is necessary).

Essays are the most important and also most interesting part of application. You should have fun writing it. Don't write in a way as if you are answering the question. Think as if you are writing for yourself.... writing for your personal memo, of blog. Think that way. Please don't write to make them happy. AGAIN, Write for yourself that makes u happy not others. Believe urself and submit.....
