Please Help

What did you people do(or are planning to do) when answering these questions in the INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION OF FINANCES?

1st question:
"Do you have a source of emergency funds once you arrive in the US? If yes, name source"

2nd question:
"If remaining in the US during summer, do you plan to attend summer school?"

3rd question is regarding the source of income during the summer
Should we mention summer work as a source (this form has to be shown at the embassy so what should I do?)
Shall I mention about 5k dollars from family for summer?

What should I answer in these questions? Guys pls help asap [My deadline is very close (15th Nov)]

ok in ISFAA, i never did it with due care n attention,,,,,,,what i write is all true ,,,,,,coz i have seen in the COF or ISFAA either and heard from someone else, .................................................. ....would jeopardize ur visa.

@handsomegokul0
1st question:
"Do you have a source of emergency funds once you arrive in the US? If yes, name source"
---------I said No directly............it does not matter either..........

2nd question:
"If remaining in the US during summer, do you plan to attend summer school?"
---------Again its No.......coz i have filled up that i planned to earn abt 1500$ in summer.so it will be my personal expenses and room/board not for tuition

3rd question is regarding the source of income during the summer
Should we mention summer work as a source (this form has to be shown at the embassy so what should I do?)
-------I did it.I think u can do 20hrs/week on campus job and 40 hrs/week on summer that's also on campus legally .So i hope to get only 1500$ n summer.And that's not high to them.they may be skeptical on this but this very very small income wont matter either.....

And for all....what amount r u going to put for ED ? Never think that paying 1000 or 2000$ more than ur fren wud increase ur chance of admitting....these couple of thousand of dollars damn care on ur acceptance.......Universities have millions of $ for grants and scholarships.........there are many hidden costs too.........and the next is its ED ED ED.

No, it does in no way affect your admission but you do need to secure the minimum score set by the college... say .. if a college wants its candidate to have a score above 100/120(iBT) then even a 100 would do... obviously a 110-115 would be better but it does not affect yr selection process.... also if you get somewhere close say 98 or 97... that too is fine i guess!!... u need to take a few english lessons on campus... isnt it?? seniors??
@ TAU
if you have a counselor then you need to send an invite to him/her... but if you do not state the conselor's email address then the commonapp considers the conselor to be a offline provider... meaning he/she may mail the school forms to the adm. off.
@gokuleshwor(the real one)
m up for WLU in ED2...
m considering Bowdoin for ED1... i know... too late ehh??... khai will try to work something out aba..
@everyone

I do not agree that those colleges have become competitive. Those colleges re ject students because they knowthat they're their safeties. So if u r strong opt for big colleges.

@dallo306: Bowdoin is generous with aid. A few years back a student with a very good SAT score(>1530)and an okay GPA got in with a full ride and a stipend.
Go McCain!

@ivy30
bowdoin doesnot require SAT scores...
GPA however is crucial.. needs to be stellar
there was a nepali in bowdoin class of 08'... he was the first one i guess.. and out of 600 int'l applicants 5 got in last year... full ride...

GOBAMA!!

@ppl desperate for safeties
yr safeties depends on yr stats... a college myt be safety for someone and a reach for the other... and there is no such thing as a guaranteed placement... if you just want to go to a US college there are plenty of colleges with rolling deadline.. my advice... apply early... some of them do have good aid...
go through the commonapp grid for some good colleges(not safeties) with rolling deadline

Bowdoin might not require SAT scores but the one I am referring to did submit his SAT scores and had an OKAY GPA. He wasn't an A-level student either.
