Taking SAT

Hey.
I'm not yet a college student but will be in 2 yrs.
I am currently enrolled in an IB program in Canada.
I've heard some rumours that if you graduate IB, u don't need to take SAT for College/University in the states.
Is this true?

SAT I/ACT is compulsory almost everywhere. There are some univ. that will waivw the SAT II requirement if you are from IB/A level.

EDIT: Yale being the most famous example of them.
