For those who scored so high: Is English your mother tongue or a second language (classes taken in school ect...)??

rumi_stacy, 2210 is pretty darn high, don't worry. What schools are you looking at?

cheesecake:
English is my first language. What I think really matters, though, is how long you've been reading English books. I've been devouring them voraciously since I was four.

rumi_stacy:
As a rule of thumb, I think 700 for each subject is good enough for any top college. There are a lot of other intangible factors involved in the admissions process, such as the interview and essays. From what I know, most schools only use the scores to ensure they aren't admitting complete losers. A good SAT score only gets you one foot in the door.
