a-levelers...?

for those taking a-levels, for the finals; what is the impact of one B for unis like michigan, uchicago and NYU?

I wouldn't think it'd be too significant, especially if you have all As.

ack, results in one week...help I feel sick just thinking about it. and one B is NOT a problem at all. (I applied to Stanford with one B and got in... well, a B in AS, not A2)

nakay probabl had some other REALLY compelling qualities to offset that B. anyway a B in AS can be upped to an A in the final, since it's the average of the two.

anyone took further maths for this A2?

God! you ppl take grades TOO seriously... a B wont hurt your app much... i even got Cs n am goin to MIT haha

what i meant was... since your A level grades come out AFTER your decision letters arrive, they dont really matter... just dont end up with any U's ....that wud suck hhahah

just make sure your O level grades r decent enough..

besides, ive said it a zillion times all over CC that its not just the grades that you need to highlight on your application!!! you are a PERSON, not a bunch of alphabets
SHOW yourself.. whatever you've got..your dreams, your hopes, your passions.. share them with your adcoms.. SPEAK!

okay i got a lil carried away there... :-/

my point:- grades are imp, sure. just dont kill urself over the alphabets.

^ Hail! You're absolutely right. I love that: we're people, not alphabets. *claps*

dammit, I don't want to get my results 5 days left...

um, no clue. I'm thinking of French literature, but I'm the most clueless chick on earth, so I still haven't decided and you? Which A Levels have you done, btw? I did French, English lit., Maths and Biology... man, hope our results are good...

Yeah, I did. P6 M5 M6, although right now I wish I took S1 or D1 instead of M6.
