Hey everyone, been lurking here a while but haven't posted.

I applied first round, got my in person interview in December, didn't hear anything until yesterday when SEO called and said gs wanted a phone interview. If you haven't heard anything, keep your head up, because it may not be over.

Hello Everyone!

Ive been reading everyone's posts since my in-person interview back in Jan. I received the same message as most of you. I just got my recommendation letter uploaded yesterday so maybe Ill hear something back soon. I am soooo nervous because this is the closest to an internship position Ive gotten too so far. Im wishing all of you best of luck! Im just so ready to hear back from them :/ Oh yeah I applied to the CFL program.

I have been lurking here for a while, so my SEO path is:

-Applied 2 round
-Phone interview 3 weeks later in late December
-Interviewed early January (within first week)
-Waitlisted as of Feb. 2

I have yet to receive any other type of update. I know someone who has gotten into the program for IB (Ironically, did a prep interview for the person before their respective SEO interview). I guess I am in the same boat as others here, but patience is a virtue. As has been mentioned earlier, make sure you have other plans set up just in case. I am fortunate I currently work with a VC and think I can leverage that opportunity further. Plus, look for MM's and Boutique's if you really want have the IB opportunity. SEO is an amazing program and wonderful opportunity to have, but it does not have to shatter your aspirations if not accepted into program.

Update--I received an email to do a follow-up interview for IB Corp. Finance next week.

I guess we will all hear back by the end of next week.

John thebanker, how do you know you were waitlisted, did they tell you directly "you have been waitlisted" or did they just tell you they haven't made a decision on your application.?

On my application decision status is says:

"...We are still reviewing your candidacy and have not made a final decision.

If you are applying to positions with our partner companies, be sure to inform them that you have applied to SEO and are awaiting a decision. "

That is the last I have heard from SEO. Talking to an alumni, who gave me a recommendation, he said it could go either way. I guess for a little more stats, I got a 3.8 GPA at non target but worked for a BB in mid-office last summer and now work with VC.
