Sorry to get people all confused about my status change! What I meant was when I click on Transitional Funding -> Status, it states, "Transitional Funding Application Status: Complete" where it used to say "Under Review."
I put elementary as highly preferred, and I don't remember what I put for the rest because that's pretty much all I want... haha.
Anyone from socal? Just read the news about the snowstorm in the eastcoast and slightly afraid of having to possibly relocate there now, especially since I have been spoiled by 75 degree weather in October.

Thanks for clarifying, c9chung! I think that sounds like a great sign.
No status change, but I'm not taking it to mean anything (yet). I interviewed on the last day and I know they take placement into consideration when it comes to transitional funding, so hopefully it's a sign that they're still working on a placement and not that I haven't been accepted. If they could have everyone's stuff processed already, the notification date would be this week instead of next!

Toydiamondring, I am totally following your logic indeed, last year transitional status finding changes happened a day or two before the notification! So let's wait wait wait and keep each other updated!

Joining the waiting game with you all as well!
I am currently a professional and had my final interview on 10/20...
Ranked Las Vegas, Miami and Philly as my most preferred.

toydiamondring posted about an article that said 31% of final interview applicants get accepted - anyone know anything more about this? I can't find any info. online.

Wow. That's fascinating. Although if you really look at it the acceptance rate is closer to 27%. While 31% are admitted, a few of those are waitlisted.
Yikes yikes. A week to go...

Yeah, you're right, thegirl08. It is closer to 27%.
I can't shake the feeling that my transitional funding status should have changed already. Maddening.

Toydiamondring, I dont think you should stress the whole funding status. We have an entire week left.....I think TFA would not give you any hints about the decision this far in advance.

I don't think anyone else's has changed so nothing to worry about. I would think my status change meant something if some other people's changed too, but since no one else's has, i'm thinking mine is just a fluke But I guess we will just have to wait one more week to see! Happy November, all!

I would definitely consider it a good sign that yours changed, c9chung! I don't think it was a fluke. You did interview the first day--maybe that had something to do with how early your status changed. And perhaps you were an easy placement! I definitely think you should be thinking good thoughts!
I know I shouldn't be a fatalist. It's just the nerves getting to me! I just wish, when they asked if I had any apprehensions about TFA, I had said, "None." I didn't want to sound naive or unrealistic, so I voiced a single concern. But I'm afraid it's going to look bad. Someone take the computer away from me! I'm turning into the thread lunatic. :P

toydiamondring - I'm right there with you! I also have a few things I wish I would have said, or said differently during the interview. I wish I knew how the different segements were weighted (ie 5 min lesson, online activity, group activity, personal interview).
And thank you so much for posting that article - great information!!
So.. until next week.. more doubting and waiting. At least I'm not the only one. :-)
