Urgent! Internship offer and waiting on response from another?

I interviewed at an agency last Thursday and they offered me the position on the spot. I told them I had another interview this Thursday (today) and they said it was fine, to let them know later. Today I went to my other interview and the interviewer said she would email me back early next week but she seemed unsure of their hiring process. The agency that offered me a position has emailed me asking me what the status of my decision is because they need to know if they need to interview any more people. What should I do? I think it's risky to ask for another extension until next week!

First talk to the second company; if they don't give you a drop-dead date for a response, give them one yourself. Then tell the first company that you will let them know by two days after you find out about the other job. This will give you at least two days to weigh your options, should you get both offers. You're doing things properly, so don't worry. They won't rescind their offer just because you want more time; they will probably, however, push back if you can't give them a date for your response.

Hey chrisw, thanks! You seem to always consistently give me good advice. I decided to accept the offer. People always tell me the saying about "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush".

=D

Congratulations on accepting an offer! Isn't it awesome to get that weight off your shoulders?

Another question

Hey chrisw! This is probably going to be my last question, since I've asked you so many questions already

I posted this in another posting so I'll just link it. Two internship offers, accepted one already?

Again thank you for all your help!

And I also feel like an idiot because I probably wouldn't have a problem if I did what you said in your previous post. I'm pretty new at this so I think I jumped the gun.
