@ pianopianopiano

My backup plans consist of applying for as many teaching jobs as possible come hiring season and continuing my Master's program during summer classes.

And right now, I should be working on my thesis instead of hopelessly searching for any glimmer of notification. Alas, here am I. Lol

@JuJu117 I listed NY as my number 4 in my list of highly preferred regions; however, I'd be ecstatic to be placed anywhere in my top 5 (D.C., Baltimore, Charlotte, NY, Chicago).

Did anyone else preference Special Education? I have my hopes on teaching History, English, or a Social Science but because I completing a degree in social work I think that I'll most likely be teaching special education.

I preferenced special education first with elementary and high school science. Looking to go south, preferably San Antonio.
Not much longer!

@ciao24...I also got an email reminding me about the Nov 2 deadline...wasn't sure why that was sent to me, figured it was a fluke. Hopefully that's not a bad sign! Since we can't re-apply if we're rejected, I'm figuring it was just a mistake...hopefully...was anyone else sent that same email??

It was probably just a mistake then! That would make sense. We're all on pins though, so the littlest thing can freak us out and send our minds racing lol. Everything will work out how it's suppose to, though Only a few more days. Eek!

@Ciao24 I didn't receive an email about the November deadline.

@juju I listed ny as my 4th choice but i live here, I would prefer to teach elsewhere.

I didn't get an email either. I'm curious to see the correlation between this email and admissions decisions.

I put Los Angeles and San Diego as my top 2!

@RED0088 and @TFAwannabe2013...I've heard that if you select Special Education as an option, you're likely to be placed there. I didn't select it because I don't feel comfortable in that position without more training, but kudos to you! My top choices were Early Childhood Education and high school English, music, and ESL. I also preferred Elementary, but I would think I'd end up in ECE since that's a priority subject. But who knows!

Also...to anyone on the east coast...stay safe in the hurricane!

I agree with all my fellow north easterners, Sandy is keeping my mind off of TFA (but not that much since I'm posting here!) I'm hoping everyone stays safe, and when it's all over it'll be decision day!

A few years ago I signed up for general emails from admissions so every once in awhile I get one just talking about future application deadlines. I got the November 2nd email and I think it is just a general email for anyone on that email list.
