Is the M&A department at Deloitte comparable to other Ibank M&A depatments in terms of compensation, hours, things of that nature?

Deloitte isn't an i-bank...

I hope this isn't because you were offered a job or interview there.

"M&A Services
The Merger & Acquisition (M&A) team at Deloitte provides expert and in-depth advice to corporate clients, private equity/venture capital firms, MBO/MBI teams, entrepreneurs and government agencies. We are committed to you and your deal, and will use our experience of the local market place and our global network to deliver successful solutions."

This is why I'm asking. And if it's not what is the difference between the two?

The Big 4 do not limit themselves to just accounting--or at least they did not until last year. All of them have/had consulting, M&A and securitization services (in addition to many others that I can't think of). SarbOx forced them to restructure a bit in order to preserve indepence from their auditing clients and some of the Big 4 have sold off portions of these service lines.
