new york city!

im a bay area high school senior and i want to study business in college. this summer (i will have gotten my diploma) but i will not have turned 18 (i turn 18 next october)

with that said, what kind of opportunities do i have if i want to land an internship in the field of finance/business????

I want to move to NYC for 3 months, work and get experience with a good company, and then come back to the bay area and being college. i know the plan sounds sketchy but does anybody have any ideas on

where i could live

where i could find internships?

Goldman Sachs has an internship for HS graduates who are "minorities" and same with CSFB (theirs is more like 3 days long or something...I think it's for rising college sophomores).

Use craigslist to find sublets in NYC, also internships. The 3 day Goldman-Sachs event he was talking about is Goldman-Sachs camp: http://www.wolfyserver.net/gscamp.doc

Please read Vault.com's Industry Guides before you attempt to do anything else. Good luck.
