What are some intership options for theatre/English majors?
This is what I intend on majoring in, and I'm just looking for some options outside of my university to keep in mind for later. I'm near Chicago, but live in Indiana.
Not quite. Performing would be amazing, but I'd do anything behind the scenes or with management..or..well, anything. As far as English goes, I've considered trying to work for a newspaper/magazine (but that's very competitive, I know).
Check this out to get a taste of what kinds of internships many theatres offer. There are lots theatres in Chicago with similar internship programs, some are summer positions, and some are full-year positions appropriate for those who have just graduated.
